We will once again spend a weekend in May in Port Aransas. And only regular session fees apply- there are NO TRAVEL FEES!!!
But since we have already booked one, only two sunset sessions are available- May 14th and 16th. Call ASAP to reserve your spot!
These images are rich with color, full of Texas spirit. They can be fun and playful or handsome and sweet. For just the kids or for the whole family, these portraits are beautiful!
Our bluebonnets are typically ready around the 1st of April. Last year, we also had a late crop of indian blankets around the 1st of May.
While we cannot guarantee that we will once again have the second crop of wildflowers, we can already tell that we are going to have lush bluebonnets once again!
If you are wanting these portraits in the bluebonnets, be sure to call and get your name on our waiting list asap. As soon as the flowers are at their peak, we will begin calling everyone on the list so that they can begin choosing their session date and time.
These soft, cuddly, sweet, precious portraits are ones that you will cherish forever!

Formal- our white tile wall and our hand-painted brown cement floor
Charming- our weathered screen doors and chest, along with our hand-painted brown cement floor
Rustic- our weathered barn wall, wagon wheel, and hay bales outdoors on the lawn

baskets, flowers, chairs, benches, Easter eggs, and LIVE BUNNIES!
Full sessions are available from March 22nd to April 2nd. The usual session fee is due when scheduling for your 1-2 hour session. You can use any/all of our background choices, and you are welcomed to have clothing changes.
Our mini-session event will be Apri. 3rd. SESSIONS ARE FREE- the session fee paid at the time of scheduling will go straight to your print order as a credit! These sessions are for 30 minutes. You may choose one background. One outfit, please.

Work to be done:
Carry around a portrait purse to spark questions from moms in town, talk positively about us, hand out business cards, and encourage moms to come use us; help me represent Shutter-Happy at the Race for the Cure, in local parades, at local family fairs; approach businesses with the opportunity to have our images hanging in their offices; possibly help with the blog and press releases.
Pay:
Starting pay will be a session, purse, and canvas print to reacquaint you with the portrait process, our procedures, and the quality of our work. Pay is then negotiable upon how much you can do for our business.

We’ve donated a gift certificate for a free portrait session and any size art piece to the Hill Country Montessori for their Buckaroo Breakfast on Saturday, February 20th. This event is open to the public. Be sure to attend and bid on our auction item to support this wonderful school!
We have donated three gift certificates to Cub Scout Pack 102 for their Blue and Gold Banquet on Saturday, February 27th. Gift certificates are: free session and enlargement, free session and portrait purse, and free session and pack of Christmas cards.
And we’ve also donated a gift certificate for a free session and any size art piece to the Boerne Education Foundation for their Rock on the Serengeti event. This gala and auction is used to raise money for all of our schools, so I highly encourage you to attend and help this be a success! Don’t miss it on Saturday, March 27th.
I attended a seminar a couple of weeks ago in Austin. The tour entitled “Family First”, given by Master Photographer Sandy Puc, focused on family portrait work. From making the initial marketing piece, to planning these fun sessions, all the way to printing, the speaker covered all aspects of focusing on the special relationships in every family that walks through our doors.

We will be serving appetizers and drinks. Guests may bring a dessert to share.
I will be here (and I hope Alice will be here also) all evening to represent our business with our beautiful display of images.
Marli Carollo will be here earlier in the evening with a yummy display of PartyLite candles and accessories.
And Tricia Hotchkiss will also be attending later in the evening with her gorgeous display of Premier Designs jewelry.
We will definitely have gift certificates for sale, and will match every dollar your spend with a second gift certificate. And we will also be giving out fantastic portrait packages as door prizes. The current winning family for the Austin/San Antonio/hill country area in the National Charity Model Search is the Coward family!

As the current winner, the Cowards were invited to drive to Austin to pose for a photography conference that is currently touring the country. As models, they served as a teaching device for all budding and novice photographers in the room. As the winners, they will also be receiving all of the images taken last night free of charge.
We were thrilled to learn that one of our portraits was a winning image! And we were very excited for this opportunity for the Coward family. Congrats, guys!!!
